LMCC: Focault

February 11, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

The Literature, Medicine, and Culture Colloquium (LMCC) will meet on Tuesday, February 11 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the HHIVE Lab, also known as the Gaskin Library or Greenlaw 524. We’ll be discussing the following excerpts from Michel Foucault’s The Birth of the Clinic: An Archaeology of Medical Perception (1973):

  • “Preface” (ix-xix)
  • Chapter 1: “Spaces and Classes” (3-20)

The excerpts are available on our LMCC Google folder. There will be snacks, coffee, and other treats, so come ready to munch and discuss Foucault’s landmark text!

If you have questions or would like to join the mailing list, please contact Rachel Warner or Paul Blom.
