LMCC: Starr

The next meeting of the Literature, Medicine, and Culture Colloquium (LMCC), is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the HHIVE Lab, also known as the Gaskin Library or Greenlaw 524. We’ll be discussing the following excerpts from Paul Starr’s The Social Transformation of American Medicine (1973):
- “Introduction” (3-29)
- Chapter 1: “Medicine in a Democratic Culture: 1760-1850” (30-59)
The excerpts are available on our LMCC Google folder. There will be snacks, coffee, and other treats, so come ready to munch and discuss Starr’s book!
