Red Tie Affair with GlobeMed at UNC

GlobeMed at UNC invites you to attend our 6th annual Red Tie Affair (RTA) on Friday, December 2, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Great Hall of the Student Union. This benefit dinner is one of our most beloved yearly events, open to professionals, students, and local organizations to promote awareness about developments in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and research. As both professors and students will be in attendance, the primary emphasis of the event is to provide an opportunity for students to discuss and engage with the professionals from various disciplines in a compassionate, intellectual dialogue about HIV/AIDS.
GlobeMed is a growing organization with chapters across the country working towards the same goal: to promote global health equity. All of the proceeds from RTA will support our international partner, Young 1ove, based in Gaborone, Botswana. Young 1ove is a health-oriented non-profit organization with a mission to educate youth in Southern Africa about sexual health initiatives through large-scale information campaigns. In addition to networking opportunities, there will be a catered dinner and professional guest speakers. Tickets for the event will be $8 for students until 11/28 (then increasing to $10) and $25 for general admission.
