The Health Humanities Journal of UNC-Chapel Hill is a journal that was founded in 2016 by HHIVE alumna Manisha Mishra. It is a journal that bridges the gap between the medical sciences and social sciences. Its primary purpose is to inspire, encourage and facilitate interdisciplinary thinking and collaborative work while exploring ideas that relate to health, illness, caregiving and medicine. This publication allows for dialogue, meaning-making and multiple representations of the body, health, mind, wellness, and experiences with the medical system.

The HHJ accepts submissions to the journal every semester.
