Interested in medical school or a career in the health sciences? This concentration helps prepare students in understanding and creating innovative pathways in healthcare research and treatment in the twenty-first century.

The interdisciplinary major program is designed for students with interests in the humanities who hope to pursue a career in healthcare. Students earn a BA in English & Comparative Literature with a concentration in Science, Medicine, and Literature by combining the ECL core curriculum with electives (in ECL and other departments) that focus on health, science, and medicine.
